Privacy notice
Written to be read, not to be clicked past.
The short version: this website collects nothing about you.
No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no contact form, and not
even a font fetched from another company's server. You can read every page
of it without anyone knowing you were here. What follows is about the
information you hand us when you actually book.
01Who we are
Azenet Homestay, a two-bedroom condominium unit let at Trees Residences,
Quirino Highway, Quezon City, run by Rey rather than by a company. Under the
Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) we are the personal
information controller for everything described here. For anything in this
notice, message
Rey on Facebook.
02This website
- No cookies are set. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics and no tracking. We do not know how many people visit, which pages they read, or where they came from.
- No forms. There is nothing on the site to type into.
-
No third-party requests. Typefaces are served from this
site itself, so opening a page contacts no other company at all. Most
websites load fonts from Google, which quietly passes your address along.
This one does not.
-
One honest exception. Our web host keeps ordinary server
logs, which include visitors' IP addresses, for security and fault
finding. Every web host does this. We do not read them to identify anyone
and we do not build any profile from them.
Links to Facebook, Airbnb, Agoda and Booking.com are ordinary links. Nothing
is sent to those companies unless you click through, at which point you are
on their site under their rules.
03When you message us
Enquiries reach us through Facebook Messenger. That service is operated by
Meta, which handles your messages under its own privacy policy and not under
ours. We have no control over what Meta keeps or for how long. If you would
rather not use it, say so and we will find another way.
04What we collect when you book
- The lead guest's name and contact details
- Your dates and the number of people staying
- The names of those staying, where the building asks for them
- Proof of identity, only if Trees Residences requires it at the lobby
- A payment reference. We never see or store card numbers.
05Why we hold it
- To hold and manage your booking, and to send you the door code
- To register your stay with building security where they require it
- To keep records of bookings and payments, which we are required to keep
- To reach you about your stay, before, during or after
We do not use any of it to advertise to you, and we do not send marketing.
06Who else sees it
-
Trees Residences building administration, where they
require guests to be registered. This is the building's requirement and we
cannot waive it for you.
-
Nobody else. We do not sell your information, we do not
share it for advertising, and we do not pass it to other hosts, agencies or
brokers.
-
If you booked through Airbnb, Agoda or Booking.com, that
platform holds its own copy under its own privacy policy, which is separate
from this one.
07How long we keep it
-
Booking and payment records: ten years. Not a number we
chose. The Bureau of Internal Revenue requires books of account and the
records behind them to be preserved for that long, so we cannot delete
them earlier even if asked.
-
Identity documents: not kept. Where the building asks to
see identification, that is between you and Trees Residences. We do not
take a copy and we do not keep one.
- Messenger conversations: they stay in the thread until either of us deletes them.
- Door codes: they expire at check-out and are not reused.
08Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you may ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- object to a particular use of it
- give you a copy in a form you can take elsewhere
Message Rey and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we
handle it, you can complain to the
National Privacy Commission.
09Keeping it safe
We hold as little as we can manage with, which is the most effective
protection available to a business this size. Access is limited to Rey. The
site is served over HTTPS, and the booking calendar behind it is password
protected.
10Changes
If this notice changes, the date below changes with it. We will not quietly
start collecting something and leave this page saying otherwise.
